Loot To Forge Ores Tier List — Best Ores Ranked
Full Loot To Forge ores tier list for 2026: which ores sell high, which ones you should forge, and how Ember Stone fits into your upgrade plan.
Ore is the entire economy of +1 Loot To Forge, and knowing which drops are worth hauling back to the forge decides how fast your gear grows. This Loot To Forge ores tier list breaks every tracked ore into practical tiers based on sell price, stage availability, and forge value, so you stop wasting inventory space on junk. If you have ever died deep in a run clutching a bag full of commons, this ranking is for you.
The short version: deeper stages drop rarer ore, rarer ore sells for more coins, and coins are what the forge eats when you turn dungeon loot into better weapons and armor. But sell price is only half the story — some ores are worth more as forge material than as coin, and one material people keep calling an "ore" is not an ore at all.

How the Loot To Forge Ores Tier List Works
Ore in +1 Loot To Forge is a collectible you cannot buy. It comes from two places: enemies you defeat in stages, and the Tower Challenge. The wiki entry on ores confirms the core loop — the higher the stage, the better the ore enemies drop, and everything is sorted by rarity.
That gives us two clean ranking axes:
- Sell value — how many coins one ore converts into at the vendor
- Forge value — whether the ore is better spent upgrading gear instead of sold
Tiers below blend both. An ore can be S-tier for selling and B-tier for forging, and the table notes say which is which.
One important caveat before the rankings: Good Bro Studio has never published a complete drop-rate table or an official ore list with every stage mapped. Community trackers count around 48 ores, and individual prices circulate from player recordings rather than patch notes. Treat every number here as community-observed, not developer-confirmed.
Loot To Forge Ores Tier List
Here is the full ranking. Ores are grouped by how much they actually move your account forward.
| Tier | Ore | Sell Price | Stage | Best Use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | Amber | 3.53K coins | 12 | Sell or forge (x31 forge multiplier reported) |
| S | Ember Stone | Not sellable as ore | Tower / events | Enhance material only |
| A | Diamond | High (community-reported) | Tower rounds 2–7 | Forge into weapons |
| A | Gold | Epic-tier ore | 7 | Forge material |
| B | Frostbite | Mid | Tower rounds 2–7 | Forge or sell |
| B | Bone Ore | Low | Tower round 1 | Early forge fodder |
| C | Common stage ores | Low | 1–5 | Sell immediately |
| D | Anything you can't carry home | Zero | Any | Lost on death — never worth it |
A few notes on the placements:
Amber sits at the top for a reason. It drops on stage 12, sells for 3.53K coins, and carries a reported forge multiplier of x31 — one of the highest recorded. If you can farm stage 12 cleanly, Amber is your money printer.
Ember Stone is S-tier but not an ore. More on this in its own section below, because the confusion is genuinely costing players stones.
Bone Ore and early commons are C-tier at best. Round 1 of the Frostbound Tower pays 600 coins and a Bone Ore according to a community progression write-up, which tells you exactly where Bone Ore sits — it is a starter drop, not a target.
S-Tier Ores: Amber and Ember Stone
These two dominate every conversation about ore value, and they are completely different items.
Amber — the best-selling ore
Amber is one of the roughly 48 tracked ores. It drops on stage 12, sells for 3.53K coins, and community reports put its forge multiplier at x31. That combination makes it the single best ore to farm if your build can clear stage 12 without dying.
The catch is the death penalty. Dying inside a run loses every ore you have not carried back, so a stage 12 wipe costs you thousands of coins in one screen. Farm the stage you clear cleanly, not the stage you can barely survive.
Ember Stone — the enhance material
Ember Stone is not an ore in the sellable sense. It is the material the Enhance station consumes, and it appears nowhere in the ore table. You cannot sell it for coins, but you cannot upgrade gear past the early levels without it.
| Ember Stone Source | Yield | Time Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Frostbound Tower | ~200 stones per run | ~1 minute |
| Stage 6 idling | ~2,400 stones | One night |
| Event quest (5 enhances) | 15 stones | 5 attempts |
| Event quest (10 enhances) | 40 stones | 10 attempts |
| Code 50000CCU | 50 stones | One minute, free |
The Frostbound Tower is the fastest farm on the board. One recorded run pulled roughly 200 stones in about a minute, with 43 on round 2 and 162 on a later round per community reports. That is roughly an order of magnitude faster than idling per hour of attention, though the tower is gated behind a second rebirth and one Tower Ticket per run.
Stage 6 idling is the fallback. One recorded overnight session produced about 2,400 stones, which works out to roughly 200–300 stones an hour — slow, but it needs no tickets and no rebirth, making it the only farm a fresh account has.
The Ember vs. Amber confusion
Auto-generated captions transcribe "Ember" as "amber," so creator videos say "amber stones" while the on-screen Enhance panel says Ember Stone. The same trap exists with Gold: some guides call coins "gold," while Gold is an Epic ore on stage 7 that goes into the forge.
If you are matching a screenshot to a guide, read the item panel, not the subtitles. This single mix-up is the most common source of wasted time on this topic.
A-Tier Ores: Diamond and Gold
Diamond and Gold are the workhorses of mid-game forging.
Diamond shows up in Frostbound Tower rounds 2 through 7, according to a community progression write-up that also lists Frostbite and Ember Stone in that window. It is not a top seller like Amber, but it feeds the forge consistently, and tower runs stack it alongside your Ember Stone income.
Gold is an Epic ore that drops on stage 7. It is a solid forge input and a decent sell, and stage 7 is reachable well before the tower grind starts. If you are pre-rebirth and building toward your first serious weapon, Gold is your target ore.
Neither is worth hoarding past a full stack. Sell the surplus, keep enough for your next forge attempt.
B-Tier and C-Tier Ores: What to Sell Immediately
Everything below Gold is coin fodder.
| Ore | Where It Drops | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| Frostbite | Tower rounds 2–7 | Forge if you need it, otherwise sell |
| Bone Ore | Tower round 1 | Sell on sight |
| Stage 1–5 commons | Early stages | Sell on sight |
The rule is simple: if an ore is not feeding an upgrade you are actively working toward, convert it to coins. Inventory space in a run is effectively a timer — every slot spent on a common is a slot not holding an Amber when you extract.
Community reports also note a reported 5% drop chance for Tower Tickets from the lobby ore board, so even the board has value beyond ore itself.
How to Farm Ores Without Losing Them
Ore only counts once you carry it home. Here is the farming checklist that experienced players actually use.
- Clear the stage, don't survive it. If a normal mob takes more than four hits, back out one stage. The death penalty returns your entire run to the void.
- Bank before you push. Extract with your bag full rather than gambling one more room.
- Farm the tower once you have rebirth 2. It beats idling by roughly an order of magnitude per hour of attention.
- Idle stage 6 overnight when you can't run the tower. Mobs respawn every 28–30 seconds, so standing still still pays.
- Redeem code 50000CCU. It is the only code currently printed in the official description and hands out 50 Ember Stones.
Three tower rules catch new players specifically: Shift Lock is disabled inside, auto-target is disabled with an explicit warning, and power resets to zero on rebirth — so running the tower straight after a rebirth ends the run.
Ore vs. Ember Stone: What Your Coins Actually Buy
Coins and Ember Stones do different jobs, and mixing them up wrecks your upgrade budget.
| Resource | Comes From | Spent On |
|---|---|---|
| Coins | Selling ores | Forge attempts (coin cost per enhance) |
| Ember Stone | Tower, idling, events, codes | Enhance attempts (stone cost per enhance) |
| Ores (Amber, Gold, Diamond) | Stage and tower drops | Forging weapons and armor |
The Enhance ladder shows why stones matter so much. Community-observed costs run 5 stones per attempt at +0 to +1, 10 at +1 to +2, 20 at +2 to +3, 40 at +3 to +4, 60 at +4 to +5, and 100 at +5 to +6 — with success rates dropping from 100% down to 40% at that last step.
Running the full ladder from +0 to +6 costs roughly 434 stones and about 117,000 coins in expectation, and the +5 to +6 step alone eats 58% of the stone total. That is why the tower farm matters: at a recorded 200 stones a minute, one successful +5 to +6 level costs a bit over a minute of tower time.
Above +6, a failure drops the item one level according to three independent sources, which stretches the retry count dramatically. Plan your stone budget around the +0 to +6 figure as a floor, not a full plan.
