Loot To Forge Enhance Guide — Costs, Rates & Tips

Complete Loot To Forge enhance guide: stone costs, success rates, the +6 level-loss rule, Protection Scrolls, and the fastest Ember Stone farms.

The Enhance station is where your gear stops being loot and starts being a build, and this Loot To Forge enhance guide breaks down exactly what each upgrade costs before you burn a single Ember Stone. Good Bro Studio has never published official rates, so everything here leans on community testing and Roblox's own store data. If you have ever watched a +5 to +6 attempt eat 250 stones and fail, this guide explains why — and how to farm the stones back faster.

What the Enhance System Actually Does

Helpful resources: complete codes list, tier list, and comprehensive guide.

Enhance is a separate progression track from the forge. The forge turns dungeon ores into weapons and armor; the Enhance station pushes those finished items up a numbered ladder from +0 toward +10. Each step costs Ember Stones and coins, and each step above +2 carries a failure chance.

Two things make the system punishing:

  • Ember Stones are the only currency that matters. Coins are the cheaper half of every attempt.
  • Failure above +6 drops your item one level. That single rule is what separates a casual +5 from a serious +8 push.

Community reports agree on the level-loss rule from three independent sources, which is unusually solid for this game. The developer has never confirmed it in a patch note.

Ember Stone Is Not Amber

Before anything else, fix this mix-up. Auto-generated captions transcribe "Ember" as "amber" constantly, so half the videos you watch say the wrong material name.

ItemWhere it comes fromWhat it does
Ember StoneDungeon drops, Frostbound Tower, event questsConsumed by the Enhance station
AmberStage 12 oreSells for 3.53K coins, forge multiplier x31
GoldStage 7 Epic oreForge input, not currency
CoinsDrops and questsPays the coin half of every enhance

If a guide calls your coins "gold," close the tab. Read the item panel on screen, not the subtitles.

Enhance Cost and Success Rate Table

This is the core of any Loot To Forge enhance guide. The table below comes from a single community video reading of the full +0 to +6 ladder, and its stone column passes an arithmetic check against a separate 30-stone Katana test — which is why the low rows are the most trustworthy numbers available.

StepEmber StonesCoinsSuccess rate
+0 to +15200100%
+1 to +2101,000100%
+2 to +3203,00085%
+3 to +4407,00075%
+4 to +56015,00065%
+5 to +610032,00040%
+6 to +7Not capturedNot captured33%
+7 to +8Not capturedNot captured25%

The +6 to +7 rate is the one figure with independent agreement from two sources. Everything above +6 in the cost columns has never been recorded on camera, so treat those cells as blank rather than cheap.

What the Whole Ladder Costs in Expectation

Add the attempts up and the picture gets ugly fast:

  • +0 to +6 costs roughly 8.55 attempts, about 434 Ember Stones, and about 117,000 coins in expectation.
  • The +5 to +6 step alone eats 58% of that stone total, because a 40% success rate averages 2.5 attempts at 100 stones each.

That is the floor, not the ceiling. Nothing above +6 has a published cost.

The +6 Level-Loss Rule Changes Everything

Above +6, a failed attempt knocks your item down one level instead of just wasting materials. Run the retry math and the difference is brutal:

ModelAttempts from +5 to +8
No penalty (pure success rates)~7.0 attempts
With level loss at +6 and above~38.9 attempts
Multiplier5.5x

Three independent community sources confirm the downgrade behavior, and the retry-loop solution lands on the same 5.5x figure. This is why so many players stall at +5 and quietly stop talking about it.

Does a Protection Scroll Help?

Yes, but not the way most players assume. A Protection Scroll stops the level loss — it does not stop the failure. Your stones still burn, your attempt still fails, and your retry count does not move. What the scroll protects is the item you already paid for, which matters enormously once you are deep into a +7 push on a weapon you cannot easily rebuild.

Think of it as insurance, not as a success booster.

How to Farm Ember Stones Fast

You cannot enhance without stones, and stones come from eight known sources. Here is how they compare.

Frostbound Tower: Best Stones Per Minute

The tower unlocks after your second rebirth, runs 30 rounds in brackets of five, and costs one Tower Ticket per run. One recorded session pulled 43 stones on round 2, 162 on a later round, and roughly 200 in the backpack after about a minute — with round 1 returning nothing at all.

Treat that as an observation, not a rate card. Nobody has run the tower enough times to publish a per-round average, and the same recording shows an empty round sitting right next to a 162-stone round.

Tickets are not purely paid, either:

  • Two free tickets per rebirth
  • Two more from a daily claim inside the tower window
  • A reported 5% drop from the lobby ore board
  • Ticket packs at 49, 199, 1,199 and 4,999 Robux (about 4.9 Robux per ticket on the small pack, 2.5 on the large)

Three rules catch new players inside the tower: Shift Lock is disabled, auto-target is disabled with an explicit warning, and power resets to zero on rebirth. Running the tower immediately after a rebirth ends the run.

Stage 6 Idling: The Overnight Farm

Normal dungeon enemies drop Ember Stones at random. One recorded session left a character idling on stage 6 overnight and woke up to roughly 2,400 stones — the biggest single free chunk anyone has logged.

Spread across a night, that is about 200 to 300 stones an hour. The tower beats it by roughly an order of magnitude per hour of attention, but the tower needs a second rebirth and a ticket, and a fresh account has neither.

Farm the stage you can clear, not the stage you can survive. If a normal mob takes more than four hits, back out — that baseline shows up in multiple community rebirth guides. Dying inside a run loses every ore you have not carried back, which turns a 3 a.m. death into a total loss of the night's work. Mobs respawn every 28 to 30 seconds, so standing still still pays.

The Cheap-Katana Quest Trick

The Enhance event quest pays stones for attempts, not for successful levels. That is the whole exploit: forge the cheapest Katana you can, enhance it to +2, and repeat.

Two Katanas enhanced twice each cost exactly 30 stones for four enhancements — 5 plus 10 stones per sword, times two swords. The cost table confirms it to the stone. You are trading cheap materials for quest progress, not chasing high-level gear.

The event quest line ends October 2, 2026 at 08:06 UTC, so check whether it is still live before building a plan around it.

Enhance Packs: Official Prices, Unknown Contents

Roblox's developer product feed lists four Enhance Packs, all created September 25, 2026 — the day before the Enhance update went live.

PackOfficial priceOfficial description
Enhance Pack 199 RobuxEmpty
Enhance Pack 2499 RobuxEmpty
Enhance Pack 31,299 RobuxEmpty
Enhance Pack 42,999 RobuxEmpty

That is genuinely all the official data there is. Every description field is a blank string, so the number of stones inside each pack is unpublished and the cost of a single Ember Stone in Robux cannot be calculated from official sources. Any per-stone figure you see online comes from community video readings. The same gap applies to first-purchase doubling, which rests on a single creator's claim.

Enhance Strategy: Where to Spend and Where to Stop

Put the numbers together and a few practical rules fall out.

  • Stop at +5 unless you have a plan. The +5 to +6 step is 58% of the entire +0 to +6 stone cost, and everything above +6 adds the level-loss penalty on top.
  • Bank 250+ stones before a +5 to +6 push. At a 40% rate you should expect 2.5 attempts, and running out mid-push wastes the coins you already spent.
  • Save Protection Scrolls for +6 and above. Below +6 there is no level to lose, so a scroll there is a wasted item.
  • Use the cheap-Katana loop for quest tiers. Do not enhance your main weapon just to hit a quest milestone.
  • Frostbound Tower first, idling second. If you have tickets and a rebirth-2 account, the tower is the farm. Idling is what you do while you sleep.
  • Do not budget for +10. Costs are only recorded through +5 to +6. Use the 434-stone figure as a floor for +6, not a plan for anything higher.

One more caution on the quest rewards: one source says the 30-enhance tier pays 200 Ember Stones, another says it grants the first 10 Prismatic Stones — a separate material whose use nobody has found yet. Only the 5 and 10 enhance tiers are confirmed by two independent sources, so do not plan a stone budget around the 30 tier.
